Baby Showers!

This past weekend Jim and I went to Waycross for 2 showers. One that my family was having for us and one that Jim's family had for us. We just wanted to Thank everyone that helped with the preparations of getting the showers together and for everyone that came and sent gifts for Lily. We really appreciate everything that was done and we had a great time! Thank you so much! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

OB Tour

Today we took a tour of St. Francis Women's Hospital. We really liked the facility. The hospital itself is much smaller than Greenville Memorial (which we toured a few weeks ago), but the Labor and Delivery area seems much nicer. They have 35 LDRP (Labor Delivery Recovery Postpartum) suites. I think it is so nice that you stay in the same room the entire time you are there. The rooms seemed spacious compared to many that we have seen at different hospitals. They are all about keeping Mom and Baby together as much as possible, which we like. We are glad that we took the tour and now know with confidence that this is where we want to deliver.

25 Week Pregnancy Pics

25 weeks and growing! She is definitely getting bigger. I can feel and see her moving around all the time, which is very exciting. It's hard to believe that we only have just a little over 3 months left to go. The last few weeks we have stayed busy...we have registered at some places, Lily's crib came in (we have it all set up) but we are still waiting on her dresser/changing table, it is on backorder. I'm hoping it will be here by the end of the month. Once we get some more stuff in the nursery I will post some pics of it. A couple of weeks ago we toured one of the hospitals here, and next week we will tour our top choice, so we are looking forward to that.

24 Week Doctor's Appt

We had a Dr.'s appt this morning and everything went great. The Dr. said that I measured good, my BP was 108/60. I've gained 5 1/2 pounds since my last visit. She said that that was good since I started out smaller. Lily was moving all around while the Dr. was trying to get her heartrate, but Lily finally settled down enough for her to get it. It was 158.

I feel Lily kick all the time and Jim usually gets to feel her at least several times a week! Less than 4 months to go!!! My next appt is June 3rd.

Baby Zayne Is Here!!!!

Zayne decided to come out and meet us a little bit early, much to April's relief!!! :) It even worked out to where I could be in there for the delivery. Everything went great and April had a speedy delivery, and a great recovery. Zayne was born on Saturday April 26th, at 9:42pm. He weighed in at 7lbs 5 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long. He is so adorable and sweet and has the cutest black hair! He was a sweetheart the entire time I was down there, and I hated to have to leave, and I can't wait until I can see him again in a few weeks!

Long Weekend in Charleston

We spent the weekend in Charleston, SC accompanied by Ken. We had a nice time and did lots of walking....I was quite tired. I can definitely tell I can't hold out to do as much now.

On a separate note Jim was able to feel Lily kick for the first time today!!!

20 Week 4 day Belly Pics!!! (Getting Bigger)

Lily's First Dress!

Jim and I took a little shopping trip to Charlotte this Saturday. We wanted to research the baby furniture that we will be ordering from Pottery Barn Kids. While we were there Jim saw the cutest little dress, so we had to get it for Lily!

Introducing Lillian Grace aka Lily!!!!!!!!

We had our 20 week appt today and it went Great! The technician said that we are definitely having a little Girl! We were so excited! This is what we felt we were having all along but it was nice to have some confirmation. The ultrasound was pretty amazing she pointed out to us the 4 chambers of the heart and the different sections of the brain, the stomach, kidneys, arms, legs, spinal cord and lots more. The baby was moving all around! She said that everything measured good and looked GREAT! She weighs about 12 ounces and she had a 153 heartrate. My blood pressure was good and I had gained 2 1/2 pounds since our last visit for a total weight gain so far of 8 1/2 pounds. We are just thankful that the baby appears to be healthy. Our next appt is May 6th.

Oven Bun's First Beach Trip!

We spent a very relaxing weekend at Myrtle Beach. The hotel was great and our views of the ocean was wonderful. It was just so relaxing to sit in the room and listen to waves crashing and read. We did not turn on the computer the entire time we were gone. We never just lay around and do nothing, so it was nice for a change to do just that and have room service! It was wonderful and we cannot wait to go back.

Happy Easter!

We had a nice Easter weekend. April, Drew and Nathan came for a visit and we had a really fun time and the weather was beautiful. On Friday April and I went around to some children boutique's and consignment shops, and then Jim treated us to a Massage at Urban Nirvana. It felt really nice, we both had a good time! While we were doing that the guys spent most of their time at Frankie's Fun Park playing arcade games and putt putt. We ended the evening with Jim doing some grilling and then taking April's pregnancy photos. I'll post one of the photos of me and her below, I'm sure she'll be posting more of them on her blog.....they turned out really good!

16 Week Photo Shoot!

Our backdrop came in and we had alot of fun while Jim took my 16 week photos! I think he did an awesome job!!!

Feeling The Baby Move!

On Friday afternoon (March 14th) I felt the baby move for the first time! That was exciting especially since I thought it could be another week or two before I felt it. I felt it several times that afternoon and everyday since! Feeling the baby made it seem even more real. Jim was excited as well and he can't wait til he can feel Oven Bun too!

16 Week Doctor's Appt

Today was our 16 week appointment. Everything went good. They drew some blood, but not nearly as much as my first appt, thank goodness! My blood pressure was good, 106/62. I have gained 4 pounds since my last appt. The baby's heartrate was a healthy 150 beats per minute. Our BIG ULTRASOUND appointment is coming up next....it will be 04/08/2008!!! So, hopefully if Oven Bun cooperates we will know if we will be having a he or she!

Jim and I were at Target last weekend and decided to take a little stroll in the baby section. We were just going to look but we saw these cute little onesies that we both really liked and since they were gender neutral we went ahead and got them. It was fun actually getting to pick something out and buy it for the baby! :-)
