It's hard to believe my baby is already 6 months old. The time is going by way too fast. We are trying to slow down and enjoy each day, b/c before we know it she will be off to school! Right now she is at a really fun and cute age. Recently she has started reaching out her arms for me to take her, and she is also starting to recognize her name! So far she has adapted really good to whatever we have planned to do. For the most part we still do most of what we did before she came along, it just takes a little more planning on our part! We are going to Waycross this weekend to see everyone and we are looking forward to that!! Jim took the pics up above a couple of days ago! Happy 6 Months Lily!!!

I'm a Big Girl!!!

We decided to go ahead and get Lily a highchair since she will be starting solid foods soon. These pics were taken after she had eaten her oatmeal. We started the rice cereal and oatmeal at 5 months and she has done really good and seems to really enjoy it. She was excited to sit in the highchair as you can tell! She looks so tiny sitting in it! :-) After her 6 month Dr.'s appt I plan on making her baby food. Jim bought me a Beaba Babycook Baby Food Maker, which steams and purees the food. We are going to start with veggies I think and then work our way to fruits. I figure we will start w/ the least appealing and then go to the fruits. I hope she does as good w/ that as she has with her cereal. She loves to eat so I think it will go good!

Little Miss Lily was playing under her little gym and squirmed her way underneath the bar. It was so cute and funny. She's not crawling yet, but she definitely has a way of getting around. She needed a little help getting out from under it. :)

It is hard to believe that Lily will be 6 months old in a week. The time has flown by! Well the first couple of months went by kind of slow :), but after that they have gone by so fast! She keeps getting sweeter and sweeter as the days go on. We just love watching her grow and learn.

The Love Dare

I meant to post about this a couple of weeks ago, but haven't....Jim and I are doing The Love Dare Challenge! It is from the movie FireProof. We have been doing it for a few weeks now and are really enjoying it, and as the back of the book says it is a 40 day challenge for husbands and wives to understand and practice unconditional love.

I think it is a great way to connect with one another and build a stronger relationship and maybe even learn a few new things about each other along the way!

Lily's First Time At The Park!!

The weather was so nice today we decided to take Lily downtown to the park. I think everyone in Greenville had the same idea...there were so many people downtown....but that made it fun, Lily had so many people to look at. We all had a good time! I think we walked around in the park and at the shops for over 2 hours, so by the end of the afternoon we were all tired. It was a nice way to spend the day!

Lily Not Feeling So Good

Lily has been sick the last couple of days. It started yesterday morning. She woke up from her morning nap early screaming...which is not like her. Shortly after that she threw up and then a couple more times within the next hour. Shortly after that she started running a fever. We called her Doctor and they wanted her to come in. So, we took her. They did a blood test so that they could check her white blood count and it looked good. She just has a little virus. We've been giving her pedialyte ever since she got sick and we started her back on formula this afternoon. Yesterday she was so pitiful. She was so pale and weak and would just sleep in our arms in between us giving her fluids. She was trying to be such a good girl even though she didn't feel so good. Today we can tell she has felt a little better. She's still had a fever off and on, but she's had more energy today. But tonight all she wanted to do was lay her head on our shoulders and anyone that knows Lily knows she does not usually do that. Last night she did really good considering, so I hope tonight will be the same.
