Happy Easter!!!

Family pic!

Lily "finding" her Easter eggs! She was way more interested in the bush than she was the eggs! :)

Lisa, Matt and Lily

Lily and I getting ready for church this morning!

Lily's First Easter! We started off the morning by going to church, then we came home relaxed for a little while and while Lily was napping Jim and I started preparing for our Easter lunch. Yesterday we picked up our Honey Baked Ham..yum! So for our Easter lunch today we had Ham, homemade macaroni and cheese, fresh greenbeans, cheddar bacon deviled eggs (a new recipe I found), rolls, and a devil's food cake I made yesterday! and Jim made some delicious Smokey Mountain Iced Tea w/ Mint! Our good friends Lisa and Matt joined us for lunch and Lisa made a very yummy Butternut Squash Soup and some Zeppolis. After our wonderful lunch we placed a few Easter Eggs in the front yard for Lily to "find." :) We have had a wonderful day and have so many things to be thankful for!

Also want to say Congratulations to Amanda, Phil, and Jack!! They will be welcoming a little boy (Baby Hugh) into the world this August!!! Another little pal for Lily to play with!!!

Lily has had a busy, fun week!!!

Yesterday Lily and I had lunch w/ our wonderful friend Constance and her 2 absolutely adorable little girls, Keira and Erin!!!

Keira loving on her Mommy!!

Group shot...Lily was more interested in looking at Erin instead of the camera! :)

Last Sunday Lily decided she wanted to go exploring under my desk and she found all my pretty computer cords!

Jim rolled the ball to distract her away from the cords! :)

Come get me Mommy! Lily holding her arms out for me!

Playing some Bball!

Last Saturday we had dinner at Soby's with our good friends Matt and Lisa! Lily has been to Soby's several times for brunch, but this was her first time for dinner!

Lily did great!!! and we all had a fun time!!

Loving her sippy water!

Lisa and Lily posing for the camera!

Lily was admiring Lisa's pretty earring!

After dinner we took a walk down to Falls Park!

Lily Update!!!

Happy Baby!!!

awww....a hug!!!

Already learning how to share!

Today is Mom's (Grammy) Birthday! Happy Birthday from Jim, Jen, and Lily!!!!!! We love you!!

Just wanted to do a Lily update on all the new things she has been doing in the last several weeks. A couple of weeks ago I transitioned her to 4 bottles and 3 food meals a day. She did great w/ the transition. She is only getting a few ounces less milk than before, but now in addition she gets a breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This new schedule is really working great! She does great with her naps and her sleeping at night. She usually goes to bed about 8:30pm and then starts waking up between 7 -8 the next morning...when she does wake up she will play in her crib for at least 30 minutes before we need to go get her! Which is awesome since I usually get up about 6:30....that gives me enough time to get my coffee and start on work before she ever gets up. I like having quiet time all to my self!

She is doing so good with her sippy cup. She holds it so well and she loves it. I still only put water in it...but of course she doesn't mind at all! Oh and this next thing Daddy (Jim) is a little jealous about...when I get Lily up in the mornings or sometime after a nap she will give me kisses on the cheek....it is soooo sweet. I LOVE IT!!!

She says da da alot and sometimes it sounds like she says ma ma. It is so cute to listen to her talk...especially when she gets aggravated at something...you know she is trying to tell you something!

Another thing she has recently started doing is that she will hold her arms straight out in the air when she wants us to come get her. Like when she is playing and wants to do something else....and of course we cannot resist her! It is just adorable.

She has the happiest disposition and we just love her so very much!!!! Above are some pics that April took of Lily and Zayne playing while Jim and I were out looking at houses.

The Big Move!

The house we will be moving into very soon!

They were so sweet playing together!

Zayne was trying to take Lily's sock off! :)

Let's see I have quite a few things to write about....First I would like to wish April a Very Happy Birthday!!!! Happy Birthday!!! Hope you are having a wonderful day!!!!

Last weekend we went down to Jacksonville and we got to see April and family and Grammy! We decided a little while back that we were going to look for a house to rent in the Jacksonville area instead of just blindly buying a house before really getting familiar with the area....so last weekend we went to look at a few houses that we had on our short list, and we chose one that we believe we really meet our needs. It will be soooo great to be able to spread out some!! I think we will really like the neighborhood....there is a nice park/playground within walking distance, as well as tennis courts, soccer fields, swimming pools, golf, fitness center, walking trails and alot more. It will be nice to have all of these amenities so close by. While Jim and I were out looking at houses Lily stayed at April and Drew's and got to play with Zayne while Grammy watched them. Grammy said Lily did great and had a wonderful time playing! I know she is going to like having her cousins close by to play with! On our way home Sunday we stopped in Brunswick and met up w/ Granny Faye and Papa Greg at Cracker Barrel where we all had breakfast...and of course Lily had fun being the center of attention! :)

It looks like we have everything all set up to move in on May 1. I am looking forward to moving down there, but will be glad when we get everything unpacked and put in place.....I know things will be hectic until we do. Also we have soooo many things to take care of here in SC before we move. Needless to say April will be a busy month!! Above are some pics from our weekend in Florida.

7 Month Birthday!!!!

Having our weekly breakfast at Panera!!! Yum!!!

Lily was busy making sure the table was clean! :)

Lily w/ Mr. Mike, one of our Panera Pals we see each week!

Lily is already 7 months old! WOW!! A few months before Lily was born I read this quote and I put it on my bathroom mirror so that I could read it each day.

"Today is the day to savor the moments.....to slow down and enjoy the gift you've been given and the One who gave it. Let all the other stuff wait its turn because today belongs to baby."

I read this each day and remind myself that I need to slow down and appreciate each and every day. I know sometimes it is easy to say..."oh, I can't wait until Lily is crawling..or walking...or talking, etc...." but I have stopped doing this because I want to enjoy where she is at in her life each and every day....and I am in no hurry for her to grow up...she can stay my little baby for a long long time! :-)

What Lily's Been Up To..........

All bundled up for a walk around the neighborhood w/ Mommy and Daddy! (Sorry these top 2 photos were taken w/ the phone so the quality is alot lower...but still cute photos)

Hanging out and snuggling up next to Daddy! So cute!!! :)

Scooting underneath the crib! :)

She likes to sit up and play now....and she loves her shapes toy that Aunt April got her for Christmas!

I was wrapping something and she had to come over and investigate....she took a sheet of tissue paper w/ her....she thought it was way more fun than her toys!

This week Lily is eating some yellow squash I made for her. She's had it yesterday and today. She really seems to like it! She will have it for a couple more days and then we will move on to green beans! I'm thinking she probably won't be quite as excited about those.
